Hachiku – The Joys of Being Pure at Heart LP Vinyl Record (Regrind Rainbow Lucky-Dip Coloured Vinyl)
Melbourne’s dream-pop outfit Hachiku returns with their most expansive and collaborative album yet—The Joys of Being Pure at Heart. A heartfelt exploration of vulnerability, resilience, and connection, the record weaves shimmering indie-pop with lush orchestral textures, featuring members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and collaborations with harpist Mary Lattimore.
At the heart of Hachiku is Anika Ostendorf, whose time at queer-run label Milk! Records shaped her inclusive, community-minded approach to music. Following the release of Hachiku’s self-titled EP (2017) and debut album I’ll Probably Be Asleep (2020), The Joys of Being Pure at Heart (2025) sees Ostendorf embracing radical honesty and emotional openness. Through these 10 intimate, shimmering songs, she reminds us to hold onto the little joys that make life worth living—even when the world feels overwhelming.
Pressed on 100% recycled regrind vinyl, this unique edition is made from trimmed off-cuts of leftover colours, creating one-of-a-kind variations for each record.
