Emerging in late 2022 from Djilang (west of Naarm, Australia), Heavy Moss is the meeting point of four distinct musical voices—Lucas Harwood (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard), Sam Ingles (Atolls), Kyle Tickell (Sons et al), and Bec Goring (Mia Wray). Together, they craft a sound that’s equal parts psychedelic pop and slow-burn introspection.

This Record Store Day 2025 exclusive 7″ captures two pivotal tracks that helped shape the sonic foundation of their debut LP Dead Slow.

Morning Milk—penned by Harwood—unfolds with the steady, poetic sway of David Berman, while Summa—a Tickell composition—floats in on a gauzy dream-pop current. A perfect yin and yang of warmth and drift, this limited release showcases Heavy Moss in the earliest stages of their evolution.
