Cinemaquette returns to the imagination of David Zhou with the newest release of their Origin statues. Based on the concept of The Origin of Species, this series brings the combination of imaginary and authentic animals into existence, exploring the lifestyle and environments of these creatures.  

This incredibly detailed piece brings to life the Magellan Octopus, a unique species of Octopi that have evolved to only have seven tentacles, one of which can be used as a unique weapon, almost like a slingshot, from which it can shoot a small piece of stone at their prey. Set in a beautiful caving themed ceramics ring, the Magallan Octopus features exquisitely detailed paintwork and sculpting by artist David Zhou. Measuring a total 9.8” in height, this piece perfectly captures the presence of a scientific sample. 

Each piece is signed by David Zhou under the base.
